...channel cat. Matt and I fished for 5 hours this morning on Cargile and I only caught 1 fish. We could not find any shad bunched up and saw very few fish on the sonar. What we thought was some crappie in the deep water turned out to be some catfish. I KNOW there are some good fish out there but we couldn't find them. I should have know it was going to be a slow day when there were only a hand full of birds on the lake. Matt only managed to land this stick. So as I see it, I won (barely).
We stoped by Overcup of the way back and saw hundreds of pelicans there. I can't remember a year where I saw so many pelicans on our lakes.

We have all heard that a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work. How does somebody your jobs measure it?

Dude I've got 3500 or so posts but hardly ever get to post up pictures of fish. I never knew that we could post up sticks. To be perfectly honest, I've caught much bigger sticks and probably some that were so big they should have went on the wall. Most of the time, I have practiced catch an release, but that is gonna change. Thanks for the nice picture and tipping me off to something that I think I'm really good at. Trophy stick pictures will follow soon. I'm even getting a vibe about a largest stick tournament.![]()
