    Default Deep fish

Just curious if anyone knows why the fish caught deep in the winter months turn red on there edges, and sometimes the meat is red in color.

LOL I'll bet if I yanked you up out of 20 feet plus of water...after you were sitting in your comfy chair, all nice and preassurized bitt'in into your favorite piece of venison cut... into sub freezing temps all of a sudden... you would turn red too JW. LMBO

It amazes me how hard a small crappie can hit a jig at 25 feet and you would swear you got a 2 pound fish on and then when you do have a good fish on they sometimes almost just swim up.
