Default The perfect fall crappie fishing day!!!

Man it was a great day to be fishing. It was 39 degrees when my brother and I went fishing this morning. We didn't get there for a sunrise picture but got a picture of fog rising off the water. The fishing was pretty steady all morning, catching good fish pretty regularly. We almost got our limits, but we had to leave at 1 pm because I had to cook crappie for the deer camp at 4 pm. I do this every year during deer season, I cooked 8 quarts of crappie fillets. Everybody really enjoyed the fish, and I made room in the freezer for more fall and winter crappie. Hope everybodies day was as good as mine.

I think that I would have made those guys wait on those couple more fish to bite. But still, that's a heck of a catch. It was a beautiful morning indeed. I got out on the water about 10:30, and the fish didn't start biting until about 1:00. Go figure.

I think your fish have a drinking problem! Just about every picture you post has a beer can in it! Great pictures nonetheless. I gotta get over there and try my luck on Cane Creek. Maybe I will bump into you when I am there!

When I get another chance to go, I will let you know. I will be pulling a mossy oak breakup 16' war eagle (25hp merc) with an red 85 softop jeep. I normally put in on the state park landing as well.
