I like freedom to move and cast so I go with under armor, blue jeans, shirt and hoodie and J. Gloves.My fis hing buddy looks like a big old bear with his hunting gear on,I stay warmer than he does.
Bob I put on long johns, a long sleve sweater and sweat pants over my long john bottoms. I then use the thick pull over hoodie sweater from Crappieholic and cover it all up with a quality pair of insulated cover all's. Keeps me warm.
A great Bass Legend and crappie fishermen Hal Murray we were fishing on lake Ouachita it was cold he drug out a pair of Frog Toggs have never looked back lite weight,can fish all day in them breaks the wind!! Forg togs not cheap but worth every penny when its cold or rainy.Have a pair of camo I wear hunting breaks the scent too!!!

I've got a pair of knock offs by natural gear that look just like them. . Just like you said, they've kept me warm on days that turned out cold and windy. I leave them in the boat. They don't take up much room.Quote:

Old sarge you hit the nail on the head. Layer up is the way to go. I learned this several years ago hunting. I wear sometimes just my poly top walking in with a light wt biba no poly under bottoms. I take most of my clothes in and dress at my stand site once I cool down.
Don't forget 60% heat lost from head so good toboggan hat and face mask and 10% from hands so wear a set of gloves too.
