Default Dlog Creek, Lake Yawnoc with Cmj

This morning CMJ showed me the ropes on fishing the pads on Dlog Creek of Lake Yawnoc (sounds Russian). We caught close to 2 limits (I caught 5 crappie, maybe) and kept 16 that ranged in size from 10 to 13.5 inches. Chris can really fish! I was so busy asking him questions that I forgot to take some action pictures. Thanks again Chris for a great morning on the water! I learned a lot.

Good fishing with you, Matt. You are being modest, you caught at least six. Just kidding. I had front seat advantage, CP did it to me the o ther day!!

I love my job. It is tough but someone has to do it! Seriously though, it is in my job duties that I know the lakes that I manage. It is one thing to know a lake because you have a good data set. It is another thing to know a lake by fishing it. I think to be a good biologist and really know a lake, you need to do both.

I completely 100% agree with you. I wish we had more of the "technical" professionals practice the "functional" side. It seems it would give a person or organization the best of both worlds.
