My drivers are 8' long. Yes it has a wood block in the end. I put a anchor on both ends of boat. I can drive 200 in no time at all.
I like these around the Cypress on Conway. Always good for a slab or two.

Chris, I like those hard wood ones. I think the last 2-3 times longer than bamboo. I wish I had a pile of slats but we only have 1 mill here in the Jonesboro area and he sells them now. 5 years ago he would pile them up and burn them.I can get some pallets but it is some work for what you get and I hate to pull nails. I have unlimited supply of big bamboo and 1 trailer load keeps me busy for the winter. I will also make some that are 10-12 foot tall that we sink in Poinsett. Around here that is our deepest water.I have used pvc before when I had some extra. Never buy it for buckets. If you do use some sandpaper to rough it up and take a chainsaw and run the blade edge down it. dont cut through. I think what ever you put in the water it will hold a fish one time or another during the year.
How long do you think the bamboo stakes last if they get exposed every year due to the lake level dropping?
