Since I have sworn off posting lake reports, I decided to post my second favorite fishing activity....cooking and eating them!!!
I have been experimenting with different batters and recipies and I have finally come up with one that will seriously make you wanna "Slap Yo Momma!!!!"
Two parts corn meal, one part flour.
A healthy dose of McCormick Lemon & Pepper seasoning salt. Say, one tablespoon for every cup of flour/meal.
Coat fillets in mustard(yes mustard,) and let soak while oil is heating.
Heat 1/2" to 1" of oil in pan and cook until firm and flaky. You gotta try this recipe.
