Default Hitting the ponds with the boys tonight!

Well, got the transmission back in the truck...its clear and crisp outside...put a pot of chili together at lunch and it is at home simmering now. Planning to get home and eat a bowl of homade chili with wife and kids then take the boys pond hopping again tonight. Hopefully the rain didn't shut them off for today. Will post pics later tonight I hope.

Well we made it home. Hit the first pond and well...we left soon after. It was awful.

Then to the second. Lets just say I got skunked!!! But thats okay...after you see what they caught I was very proud!! It was great seeing them so excited! They are HOOKED now! Single poles, 11' jigging poles in rod holders, various plastic jigs, 3 hours. The three the boys are holding in order were 13.25", 13", and 13.50". I was telling them about the 16" and 17" variety and can't believe how big those would be...I told them they'll come...I'd say they have a good start!

Good job, man! Like to see a daddy investing in the lives of boys. You're raising them right, dad. Thanks for taking the time to post this with pics.
