Default Hey guys, its been a while!

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Trying to get back into the game a bit when time allows. Took the boys tonight and my oldest caught the biggest crappie he has ever caught and my youngest boy caught his first. It was a good night. They are hooked now. We used slip corks and plastic jigs on 11' jigging poles and single rod holders. Good way to start them out. They learned to adjust depth and keep an eye on it while trolling, keep our lines from getting tangled and getting a crappie in the boat with an 11' rod without a net. Both want crappie poles for Christmas now. They are 10 and 13. Next lesson.....spider rigging.... hmmm...well maybe after a few more trips...lol. Although they have been on the net and were ready to do it tonight!

Here are the fish we caught tonight. Threw a little bass back the oldest caught. The biggest one was the one he caught and he was SOOO excited about it.

Good job and Nice catch always fun to fish with the kids. Sometimes I think spider rigging is easier with the kids than trying to let them fish with a pole. Just when you hit a brush pile does it get exciting with the spider rig and kids or a big big something takes off through the lines. LOL
