I have found that when it is hot, hit the main channel. Watch the water moving around the jetties, when you find a jetting that the water isn't spinning around behind it, check for deeper water and possibly some brush. They are not going to be on the shoreline in this heat. Go early, then head back to camp, and nap when it is hot.
