Oxbow pretty good today 7/28/13

Went back to an oxbow that hasn't been very productive last few times I've been,but today was much better , fish were suspended 6 ft deep is 10-12 fow , caught em all jiggin 1/8 oz red head with white/cart southern pro, ended with 19 and the 2 biggest were the last 2 bites for the morning

I fished that lake last week and that's just about the same pattern I was on I ended up with 30 but a storm was blowing in and I picked up about 15 real quick down on the west end past the old bridge.

I don't go down there much anymore. That's where I was raised, I've fished all of those oxbows in that area a lot. Don't worry I promise I want be putting no dent in the population down there. You know about 12 years ago I really caught a lot of big fish in that lake for two or three years and it seems like the last few it's hard to catch a good solid limit. I probably caught 60 the other day that were to small. Did you catch any big drum? I caught 4 that where hogs. Good catch Greg.

No drum, and yes that lakes way down I've been fishing it for about 18 years and it used to be my favorite lake , I can remember the time when you couldn't keep from catching a limit of big ole slabs but I agree been about 12 -15 years since it was really good
