I visited my daughter who lives in Maumelle. We went up to Greers Ferry Lake so i brought my fishing boat along. Wayne, Creekslick gave me some advise on trolling crankbaits on color and depth. It was my first time trying it so it took some trial by error before we found a nice cove. If you never fished this lake it is very clear and full of timber. This cove had a forest underneath it and it was pretty cool to watch the fish locator at how many trees there were. I would be in 60 feet of water and the trees were 10 feet from the surface. We caught some nice ones pulling crankbaits. It seem like they were caught in the same area. It was 40 feet deep so I went back over there jigging the trees 15 feet down and caught the 16" and some other nice crappie. It was a good day because we only lost one crankbait. I was amazed at how the crank bait would hit the top of the trees and the pole would bend a couple of feet and then it would pop free. Thanks Wayne for the help. It was nice to have a fresh caught crappie dinner for the family. Name: DSCN0680.jpg
