Default Good memories on Ouachita and DeGray

Until a few years ago when the Corp and Game and Fish destroyed the moss on Ouachita and DeGray crappie fishing was great. Now, stripers and hybrids feast on the crappie. Their cover has been removed. There are great memories from the yesteryears. How I wish we still had the moss!!!

May be the reason I never did very good over there myself. Same with the bass fishing too. Even the Pro's that fish those Monday night tournaments on Degray only manage 10-12LB of fish in a 5 bass limit. That right there should tell you the fishery isn't what it should be. Course in AR they don't listen to us the trout, and stripper are king unfortunately. Really pretty lakes though.

Not preaching because I don't have time to sink condos either. But, Greeson is proof there could still be some good fishing.
I sure miss pulling those bull bream out of the moss too.

A few years ago, DeGray was one of the hottest crappie lakes in the state. Very few catch a limit on the lake now.
