Spent a good 4th of July with dad on Gilliam lake

Dad and I both had the day only could fish until 10 because the little woman said we had to go to the in laws for a cookout but we managed 19 in about 3 hours are so they was on our brush about 12 deep in 30 feet of water on minnows tried jigs right beside the minnows with not luck

Well we've said it before the minner is king on these waters around here but time before last I went and had about half as many on jigs as I did minners fishing the two side by side. It's still one of those things if I'm fishing that lake I hate to even go without minners. Come to think of it last time I went I thought they just weren't biting but I only had jigs and only caught one crappie too. We had the right idea by putting brush out back in the Winter but we just need a lot more of it this time around, what you think?? Good mess of fish again. Maybe late this Summer, early Fall if dad gets over his back surgery me and him can on em down there. P.S. I bet your dad has forgot about chasing those lil breams around after that mess of white perch?
