Took myy granddaughter on her first crappie excursion

We took the pontoon boat out friday evening and I took her swinning for a while then we went crappie fishing for a couple hours and she caught her first crappie.

Her next one was a nice 13.5" slab.

We then spent the night on the pontoon anchored in the back of a cove. Had a blast hotdogs and junk food all day. We were up at daylight spider rigging. Caught more then at about 9am we started pullin cranks. Caught a few more crappie and a few whites.

We went swimming again and she crashed after lunch. She was wore out but we had a great day.

Wish that was my first crappie. Sounds like a great time and a good way to spend time with the Grand daughter. She will remember that for the rest of her life. What lake you on?

Yea this I hope is the first of many fishing trips with my granddaughter. We are cooking the fish we caught tonight. She is coming over to help me cook it. I think I'll wait a few years to tell her she has to help me clean the fish.
