Sometimes them oxbows with shoreline cover hold em shallow even in the heat. Even bigger lakes like Nimrod in late summer when oxygen levels drop we see fish go extemely shallow.

I'm sorry general, fathers day showdown, and dad put on a clinic.. should have saw his slabs. Once again my dad teaching me something. Love that man. Someone tried to rob him last week while he was fishing. Just makes my blood boil with thought. You guy be careful out there. Lock down everything and get a carry license if you don't have one. It sucks having to remain vigilante while trying to relax.!

Good for you and your dad. My dads health won't allow him to go anymore. Sometimes when I have a hard time zeroing in on the crappie I'll call him for some advice. Helps me and makes him feel good too...........I'm curious about what the story is with someone trying to rob your dad.........makes my blood boil too

Three guys launched a boat from a tree line without any poles and got out on the bank.. They were walking slow along the shore not knowing my dad had already saw them. So my dad turned on his troller and crossed sides and in the meantime called my uncle who works the farm around the area. My uncle showed up along with a couple of buddies. The guys fled and they looked for vehicles at a different landing and could not find anyone. Just a boat with the motor removed.
