Both look for the shad and you will find the crappie

Thanks Creek I've never done it before because most crappie i've found in the Summer relate to the deeper brush and that could mean more snags.

Sounds like some good advice to me, never thought about different colors before, that's what's so good about CDC , always finding and learning new things whether you end up using them or not, take bits and pieces and use what works best for you

Slick, do you run something equal to the diameter of the 10 pound mono?? I lost 6 or 7 baits this weekend fishing in the timberr but the fish were there so I stayed with it. Thanks for your help.

Rees I run 30# test 6# dia. Power Pro

When you have six poles out and one gets snagged what is your process of getting it unsnagged? Do you have to reel all the others in and go back to the snag or do you hope that the 30 lb test pulls it free?

If I and out by myself, I will try to pop it loose first if it does not come free I stop wind in the other reels and troll back and try to free it. If I am doing a guided trip I will try to pop it loose if it won't come free I thumb the spool so it will come free or break off.
