    Default Beat the heat

Summertime is upon us and these temps can be extremely dangerous , get out early and catch before it gets hot, be sure and drink a lot of cold water and stay hydrated , supposed to be near 100 degrees next week, everyone be safe , a heat stroke will slip up on you!!!!

Was cleaning and mowing on some of my property yesterday. Always seems hotter doing that verses fishing. Anytime the weather breaks into the 90's I try to carry a cooler. When I'm not jig fishing I'll use an umbrella on my boat in the midday sun.

Umbrellas are worth the hassle in this kind of heat. there are some nice ones on the market. Like my cheap reels I get the cheap brella from Harbor Freight. I have been known to throw both overboard.

That umbrella might make good structure! Set a waypoint!
