    has anyone had a problem with the minikota trolling motor, put a new switch on, and it will run if you turn it to the right, but if you try to turn it to the left it will stop running, getting fire to the plug-in, but now it won't, turn on at all Farmer 1940

    Talk to or take it to the guy who has a trolling motor repair shop in the back of H2O Marine in Sherwood. I'll bet he can fix it.

    Recheck connections on switch. Assume foot control. Sounds like your losing connection because something is pulling on wire or grounding it out.
