Guys im telling ya there is something to this butterfly thing. I fished Conway from 7AM to 12:23 PM this morning and had only caught 9 keepers. Well I was about to give it up, when this butterfly landed on my reel hand. It was the same butterfly or moth (whatever it is) that followed me home from the Red River I posted about last week. (PLEASE SOMEBODY tell me the name of this butterfly if they know). Anyway with the heat index over 100 degrees I decided I would call it a day. LOL well on my way back in to the boat ramp I thought I would jig around the Cypress trees right infront of my boat ramp. Guys im telling ya from 12:23 PM to 1:20PM in blazing heat I boated seven fish in about 5-6 feet of water and they were my nicest fish of the day. I am at 16 fish right now, I'll put up a pic of the whole mess when I come back off the water this evening, but here is a couple pics of my nicer fish I caught right after the butterfly landing.:D

Thanks Guys, I stopped fishing to enjoy the sunset on Lake Conway. As I watched it set I thought of how many beautiful sunset's I missed because I was so intent on catching a fish. As the sun dropped down below the horizon I thought of the butterfly that landed on me, how I battled extream hot weather, and how the fish bit best in the hottest part of the day, I realized The Good Lord set this day before me, and this day was coming to an end. I thought how I will never be able to re-live this day on the water agian, It is gone now, all except the pictures and memory's that I now have of it. We are haunted by the waters we fish. God Bless...![]()
