Hey Guys meet my wife, Now besides being the queen of my Doublewide there are two things I want you to notice. First she is cleaning fish, Second is she is doing it in her own kitchen. Now in my book thats a darn good woman LOL. Really she is the love of my life who kicks my butt every time she fishes with me. :o
About three weeks ago Me and and ole Air Force Buddy were floating the Little Red trout fishing. When I looked on my left knee and noticed a butterfly had landed on it. It just sit there for the longest time while I fished.
Well after we caught our limit of trout we said good bye, loaded the boat, and we went our seperate ways, and I forgot all about the butterfly I witnessed on my knee. After I got home from the trip I pulled my life jacket out of the back seat of the truck and you'll never believe what was resting on the Life Jacket. (The same darn butterfly) in perfect shape. Keep in mind I first saw the butterfly about two hours before I quit fishing that day and somehow it stayed on my life jacket when I transferred it from the boat to my truck without me seeing it. When I arrived home I was very excited and showed my wife the butterfly and telling her the story about it, She was also very excited and said HONEY!!! this chicken showed up from knowwhere and layed a fresh egg on our porch and still shows up just about everyday and lays an egg. Now as a fisherman I took this as a SIGN and over the years I have had butterflys land on me and I can't explain it, but I just catch the heck out of some fish when this happen's. All I can remember thinking is WOW I need to get fishing, with all these lucky rural country signs popping up all over the place. (LOL) The moral of this story is, IF you have a butterfly land on you and a chicken suddenly shows up on your porch and starts laying egg's, you better get out there and start fishing. I have been catching the Fire out of fish, right here at my doorstep since this happened LOL. God Bless...
Oh ya the one's in the pic were caught just yesterday morning.:D

Gotcha 'bout 1/2 of a gallon ice cream bucket full there I see...:D
Hey CP,
Dang nice fish!:D Same MO as last week?Tried that this morning with not much luck. Pretty brisk wind early made a lot of noise slapping the boat. Couldn't slip up on'em.
Congrats on the fish, the great woman and loved the story.
Tight lines!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
LOL Now dont feel too bad Ski, Must just be my lucky butterfly N Chickin Cos Midsouth came out to my fishing hole busted his trolling motor, DP came out and saw fish caught. Ill let you guess which of us were catching the fish. I've been trying my very best to put people onto these fish and have been encoraging folks to bring thier own boats cos anybody who has ever verticle jigged Cypress trees know the man in the back seat is at a serious disadvantage when doing this type of fishing. I have even showed folks what im using and exally where im catching em. LOL guess im down to just taking you all out in my boat, pulling up to a tree and showing you where to drop your jigs in.:p

Congrats on the catch. I dont know how you guys get the wives to clean the catch though.Mine cooks it AFTER it's cleaned and in a pan. I cant complain though. I pretty much hunt and fish ANYTIME I want to and there's never any complaining. I dont believe I'd EVER have found another woman that would have put up with me all those years.:o

Good post Crappie Pro. I always enjoy the read and the pics you provide. Then in-laws don't crappie fish that much, but they've still been wearing out the bream on Conway, so it ain't over yet.
A butterfly and a chicken may be involved in catching those slabs, but I've seen your fish in the past, and I have to think a little skill may be involved also
As far as the wife, when you get a good one, keep her. Tomorrow I'll have kept the same one 27 years.
Looking forward to the hand-shake next time I'm down.
