Arkansas River 1 Crappie Fishermen 0 -

A bunch of us from my work sport fished the Arkansas River today from Cadron Settlement Park and upstream. We had 10 boats out today all double occupied except 2 that had three. The fishing was from 6:30 til noon with the winning weight being 31 lbs. 9 oz. The catch consisted of Kentucky bass and bream and not a single soul caught a crappie. We fished everywhere from backwaters to main channel, dykes, jetty's, you name it and no crappie. How on Earth? anyone with a success story today share the wealth. We through everything in the book at 'em in every which way possible and zilch. Just plain pitiful, I hide my face in shame.

Yesterday I was on the other side of the dam from you.............and 3 of us caught 16 little crappie all day.
