    Default LOSER Status Intact...

The boys and I had a great day, Saturday. We didn't limit out, so our LOSER status is still safe but we caught a ton of fish.

The crappie bite was fairly decent. We were catching fish regularly all day long. Unfortunately, the vast majority of them were not big enough to keep.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that we caught 60-70 fish between the three of us (we didn't count), however, we only kept 8. Of the 8, only 3 of them had any real size to them.

We did catch two that were 13.5" and one that was 12".

My fallback plan to fill the live well was the shell cracker bite. However, for the first time this year, of the 8-10 bream we caught, none were big enough to keep. We probably could have caught more, but the crappie bite was too enticing. We went back to chasing the paper mouths.

Yesterday underscored something I've known all along, it is who you are fishing with, not what you are fishing for that makes a day great. On that note, gentlemen, yesterday was a GREAT day!

There's nothing like the feeling of catching fish on jigs that you have tied. I'm glad my boys got to experience it!

Just spending time on the water with family is great day! Putting fish in the boat is an added bonus.

Great pics and a great job getting on those fish and making a memory.

Great pictures, Tony! The looks on the boys' faces must have been priceless. Are they tying jigs tonight?

How can you call yourself a LOSER after making a statement like this? You sir, have got it figured out. Good job.

As far as I am concerned you are a winner, any body can be a man, but you sir are a father. The time you spend with them there boys will have a lasting impact. You will and always will be the one they look up to. As far as I am concerned you are a prime example of what a father should be. My dad was always there for me when I needed him and he continues to be. Cherish your time for someday when life gets busy it may not be there to enjoy.
