Well, I had to go fish for a couple hours this afternoon because I have been dieing to try out my new 11' Ozark jigging pole that I got from Don. As you can see, I didnt catch a mess, but I did finally get to feel the "thump" on a jigging pole. I was hopeing to have a picture of a cooler full of crappie, but this is all I got. Caught them in about 5 minutes in the same spot. I did however miss a couple. Reguardless I am impressed with the rod and i can see why all of yall like the "thump" so much. The catfish was really fun trying to get in the boat being in the middle of the cypress trees.

Now if I could just get Don to show me how to use an 11' rod...

If I only caught one crappie it sure would take the sting outta it with a good en like your holding up. Looks about a pound/pound and a half. A man that wasn't greedy could make a good meal outta that fish!

That crappie is awful slimy from hanging out with that catfish. If that was my catch when I got home my wife would say "Becca (daughter) and I will eat the crappie you and David (son) can eat that slimy catfish!

Continuing to prove that biologists are crappy/crappie fisherman. I have been called "lake jinx" on Maumelle before!

It is just a little difficult transitioning from fishing predominantly for bass to crappie. I have definitely figured out smallmouth fishing on creeks. That is the one form of fishing that I have down.
