I hurts my heart for you and your family to hear of this very sad news. I lost my son the same way 7 years ago, when he was 21. There is no greater pain. No parent ever thinks that they will outive their child. The 24th of this month would have been his 29th birthday, and I can't help from wondering how things would have been for him if he was still with us. I go back to the places we used to fish and hunt together and it seems like he should be right there with me. I wish I had comforting words for you but I'm just not there yet. I miss him every day and still feel numb inside. But I know both of our boys would want us to go on with our lives and make the best of it, just like we would hope for our Dads to do if we went first. I wish you and your family healing in the days and years to come.

I truly do feel your pain. I am sure that you feel the same huge emptiness that my wife and I now experience. We trust in and pray to God for strength. Thank you for sharing.
