Default World record crappie Beaver Lake?

Has anyone heard anything about a state record and a possible world record crappie caught out of Beaver on Saturday?
I heard somthing on the local a.m. radio show today saying it was caught and was in possesion of the G&F.

I heard it on KURM. I don't know what show it was, I was just flippen through.
I would imagine it would be a few days before they released anything on it due to a possible world record. I'm sure we're talkin just a few ounces if that.

Default I emailed the Dept of Biological Sciences (Kimberly G. Smith) and got this response!!

    Caleb,

Hi! I don't know about this... I forwarded it on to Mike Armstrong, Chief
of Fisheries to see what he knows...

That would be exciting news if true...

    Cheers, Kim

We should find out one way or another! I have not seen anything in the local newspapers yet. That radio anouncer may have got the wrong news or the wrong lake! It is a.m. radio after all!

I think I recall seeing where a new Missouri State record was caught recently. I believe in a private lake and it was a Black Crappie.

The local outdoor writer knows nothing about it as well as the baitshops. I'm going to say the radio station must of recieved bad info or a prank!
Very unfortunate, it would have been great for Arkansas!
