Thought I would try this. I figure it will keep a lb or 2 of jigs from drying out for a month or so. No guarantee on this fix, but if it doesn't work for my jigs, I guess I will try to use it for something else. Now on to harbor freight to get some wheels for my new jig box.![]()

Ok, now for the secret that makes my minnows so special. I have done this for years and no doubt at the very least it should be posted in the moderated forum, but no, I will share with all. The secret....mini-minner condos. In all of my long term minner containers, I drop a mini-minner condo and I use food as a learning stimulus to train my minnows to fish. Each day when I feed my minners, I drop the food down into the middle of the mini-minner condo here after known as a MMC just to save bandwidth. By feeding in the middle of the MMC I am therefore conditioning my minners to fish. When your untrained minnows hit the water at the lake, they will just swim around like dumb fish, while my trained minners after hitting the water will glance around and then head for the nearest crappie condo since they have been trained to do so by the everyday feed in the MMC. My trained minners while thinking they are to be fed in the lake crappie condo will actually be placing themselves into stiking range of the biggun no doubt hiding within the condo limbs. After me dragging out slab after slab and you catching nothing with your dumb minnows, you will ask me to switch ends of the boat which I will do. The minners will then again be dunked into the lake and your dumb minners will be out bottle necking around in the open water while my trained minners will again look around, see the crappie condo a boat length away and thinking it is a MMC will swim the length of the boat into the condo and I will catch another slab. You will just shake your head in amazement.![]()

RCC, you are a genius! You really should put all of your crappie wisdom on a website and sell access to it.
The great minnow trainer.....
