Riverview HOFNOD

With some encouragement from Shane I want to share something that is very special to me. The Riverview School District has some dedicated high school and junior high teachers that love to fish that started a HOFNOD program several years ago. Yesterday was our annual derby. It is always held at Judsonia's Friendly Acres Park. The AGFC releases 300 channel catfish free of charge and they have also supplied fishing equipment and some funds. I cooked hot dogs while kids and parents were fishing and having a great time. A lot of fish were caught to boot. I think this is a program well worth starting in any community. Many of you are involved with your kids in many activities but a lot of kids don't have that and need other adults to show an interest in them and this is a great way to do that. This is usually held on a Saturday but had to be rescheduled because of rain. About 80-100 were there.

Iron Man I think that is such a good thing!! If you or Shane need any help with this next year I would be more than happy to volunteer!!

Is there a public pond around Bald Knob. Maybe at the country club? If you know Randy Johnson or some of the guys at the school I could help BK get a program started. There kids involved the better.

that a good thing for Riverview... I know tons of kids that went throw Riverview school and not all of them has turn out good
