Millwood Advice

Hello all - I am new to the Texarkana area, having moved down from Kansas City about six months ago. I have not had my boat on Millwood yet. If anyone would care to share any advice - which access to put in at this time of year, where to get minnows on the way, etc... it would be much appreciated. I run a 20 ft jon and fish primarily for crappie and catfish. Thanks.

You can get minnows at Saratoga,npt sure of any shops in the ashdown side, as for landings I prefer either Yarbourgh or whitecliffs ramp. Right now they are pulling so much water it will be tuff to buy a bite for the most part.If I were going to try there it would probably be at either horseshoe or some other off the river slews.

Either McGuire, which is off the river or the east side of the lake where the Saline river comes in, I believe you can use the Cotton Shed ramp. Hope this helps
