I've heard a lot of hype about crappie magnets over the last year or so. Are they any better than jigs? The plain old red/chartreuse jig rarely lets me down... I've got an array of other colors, some work better than others on certain days.. I've looked at crappie magnets but never fished with them, they just look like an expensive jig to me.
