Dardanelle...the fish.

Dardanelle is a great lake. Possibly the reason I came to this conclusion is the beautiful sunsets.


These beautiful sunsets seen over a rack of B&Ms with the cord from the Terrova wound in a sensuous coil in the fore ground would no doubt stir up romantic thoughts in anyone. While this view can hardly be equaled, I found myself awed even more by the amount of trash fish in lake Dardanelle. I knew that we were in for a great week, when just a few hours into our stay, we found ourselves simultaneously hooked up to 8 white bass on 6 poles. In the ensuing melee, hooks found there way into the legs of my pants and even into the soles of my crocks. After we emptied the boat of white bass and retied the whole rig, we were back in business and I knew this was gonna be a memorable trips. A short time later, we hooked into this beauty of a trash fish. You know you have a decent trash fish when you look down at it and it makes you kinda queasy.



I'm usually try to catch and release most trash fish, but sometimes they just push me over the edge and I snap. When that happens, the trash fish are likely to end up like the below. It may be a trash fish, but I can only be pushed so far.



I spent lots of time doing one of my favorite things.



To have a great camp, you gotta have great people. It's just a fishing trip until you add the great people from Crappie.com. So many of you I missed that I would like to have met and hopefully I will be able to meet you at future camps. Those that I did get to meet it was my privilege to shake your hand. My old crappie.com friends are very dear to me, so I must choose my comments carefully before I post about them.

WOW RCC LOOKS LIKE YOUR REALLY LIKING LAKE DARDANELLE. I maybe going out on a limb but as far as Facility's and catching Crappie Lake Dardanelle is the best in the Country with World Class Boat Ramps, and State/COE Parks and great facilities around the lake everywhere. There is none better. What an Awesome big river Resivoir. The State and Core have a TRUE GEM!!! there, and do a great job managing it year round.
