Water quality tests are still good. They are making good progress with the clean up. They were supposed to have the damaged section of pipe excavated and removes for investigation by today. Have to go electrofish. If I find anything else out new, I will post tomorrow.

So is it possible for oil to be floating on the water in the brush but the samples still test ok?

The wetland/cove is subdivided into 4 or 5 sections, starting at the very back of the wetland and working its way to highway 89. There is a series of booms that seperates each section. the upper most sections that are closest to the interstate do/did have oil in them and there probably still is some reminants of oil on some of the remaining brush. However, there are no signs of oil in the remaining 2 or 3 sections closest to highway 89. They are also in the process of removing all of the small brush in the upper part of the wetland. Water quality tests in the lower section south of highway 89 remains good. No signs of oil. Same results that are north of highway 89.

Thank you for the update.
Awesome, good job to everyone involved in keeping it contained. It could have been a lot worse.
