Haven't fished it this year but will be there on Thursday. I think it will be good. Fish around the cypress trees.

Well yesterday was 8 and today was 12 on Gillham lake which is about and hour or so North of there. All these feeder lakes are full so I'm sure the water is up and muddy down that way although I crossed it at the HWY 41 bridge below Horatio yesterday and it didn't appear too much up, it was dark so I couldn't tell about the clarity of it though. I think they started letting water out of Gillham today though so that won't help Little River either and with more rain in the forecast it might be up even more.

I got a report that they are not shallow yet. Weather has pushed them back to deeper water. Rain expected for the next 3 days till Friday

Thanks for helping us out with this information guys. Waterturkey, the weather looks good for Thursday so I hope you get into em. If you find the time to report back that would be great as we are gonna try to go the next Monday. I always fish the standing and downed cypress trees but last year talked to several people who swore by dipping in the grass, which never seemed to work out for us. We never caught near a limit but those we caught were some big boys and girls. Never saw males that size before!

If the water temp is right fishing the grass is great but I've also pulled a lot of big slabs off those cypress. I'll let you know how we do.

Still hoping to make that long drive to Millwood on Monday but will stay local if I it's slow there. If anyone has any current information I would be grateful. You know how it is. It's tough to use limited time off to get skunked! I'm guessing Water Turkey may have gotten rained out on Thursday. Thanks for helping us out guys.

They are biting up in horseshoe but most of them are being caught in the 16 ft water range. Fished yesterday and only seen a few caught and they were deep, talked with some guys fishing there today, bite is better but still deep. Maybe this warmer weather will bring em back up shallow. OK Landing has been on fire but a bit slower the last few days after the rain and cooler weather as well. Still lots of currant in the river so the oxbows will be your best bet, least that my 2 cents worth. Good luck on your trip.

The bite was real slow, if that. A lot of people fishing but no one catching including us. The bite should pick up with the warm weather and increasing water temp. Water temp got down to 51° Thursday was up to 56° today at noon.
