Bill, this may sound like an odd question but... Does anyone make a frame seat like that that has only one seat?
I have a large open area in a Jon boat with a floor in it that would be ideal for a third pedestal seat. I had been thinking of mounting a pedestal base but a setup like this would be super versatile. However, 2 seats is a bit of overkill for the area where I want to put it...

This is what I did when measuring for my Dub-L-Seat. Then I put the center seat post in and measured to the center of the bucket to get my distance. I bought a dub-l-seat and believe it is the sturdiest of the rigs built like this.
