I am from eastern Arkansas originally. Grew up around East Lake, Maddox Bay, and the white/cache river. Pretty new to crappie fishing as I mostly only bream fished in the summer. I live in Benton now and I was going to take the wife out Saturday. I debated on going to Lake Peckerwood as it is a little closer to the house but have also heard a few decent things about Clear Lake in England. I may just go to a few oxbows off the White and Cache. But I would like to try something new..
I don't know Lake Conway and didn't really want to fight a crowd. But what would you guys suggest? I have tried Lake Maumelle before but I grew up around Cypress trees and brush everywhere so I couldn't figure out how to fish there!! Any help would be much appreciated!!
Peckerwood would be worth a shot.

Peckerwood is doable but it is still high and muddy.

used to live outside little rock...if you are bream fishing, even though it may be crowded, i would go to conway...just because of the quality fish...big ol' gooduns and good ol' bigguns...i like the upper end...also, i used to pick up a bonus crappie or cat on crickets...start fishing right where you land your boat...donot have to motor all over the lake to catch bream...just my 2 cents...
Save the planet, it is my favorite place to fish...
