Red face Baby on Way, Boat 4 sale....

Well boys, found out Monday we are expecting a baby March 27 next year . I am very excited even though its in the middle of the best Crappie fishing time. It will be our first together and I am looking forward to it. With all of this being said, I have a Duracraft 1442 with a 25 h.p. electric start motor, brand new hummingbird dual view depth finder, two new mossy oak pedestal seats in it, two batteries, livewell and almost new trailer for sale. I would like to see it go to a good home. Boat doesn't leak a drop! Two rod holders in front as well, very comfortable boat. All for 1,450.00. I will be downsizing to a smaller boat very soon after this is sold.

Congratulations on the new addition. Too bad about selling that boat though. Got any Pics? That might help. I know one thing, you may have a harder time going to fish with a new baby. I have a 6 y.o. & 10 y.o. (girls) & sometimes have a hard time getting out on the lake. (and I live on mound lake, crappie central!) So, I feel your pain. You will be frustrated, depressed & excited all at the same time. There is nothing like a new baby to change the world you live in.... completely. You need to figure out a way to save that boat. Hope you can find time to fish!!

You could have just adopted me and kept the boat but no one wants a 39 year old little boy.

Congrats, Dennis. Too bad you must sell your boat. Randy is right, some pics would help it sell faster (on this website at least). Also, be sure to post an ad in the classifieds section.

At least you will have a few folks around here that you can accompany the few times you get to go fishing. You can join me in my boat anytime.

Thanks guys for all of the support! I have not figured out the pic posting yet but I will. If you guys are interested, I can bring the boat to wherever you want for testing. No big hurry on the boat, just trying to be responsible. Thanks CEB for the offer and I am ready anytime!:o

Congrats of the new addition, and sorry for your lost, I hate to see a man have to give up his past-time. But if its for his future its worth it.
The picture thing, I use photobucket.com, upload the pic then it list 3 things under the pic, copy and paste the one that has IMG on the side of it and pasted it in your message.
You can't fish with a hung line!

Congrats!! Boy or girl, I hope we see a post in about 4 or 5 years from you saying you need to sell your smaller boat and upgrade to a bigger one cause your youngster has learned to fish, and as a matter of fact manages to catch more and bigger crappie than you (and needs lots of space to do it) Thats what happened to me. I learned that no matter how much I wanted to do things my way, it was much more rewarding to let my son have free reign to learn the craft while I kept him untangled and baited up. He is determimed to fish whenever possible and doesnt know when to quit. I am slowly getting my space back in the front of the boat but will gladly let him have it when he masters the trolling motor.
Anyway, I am assuming this is your first, and you will have many happy days ahead, and you will still get to crappie fish!!!

Crappie Fishing is a way of life. You include those you love when they're ready. It won't be long and you'll hear " Daddy can I go? ", If you take them they will love it but if you don't they will be in competition with fishing for your time and they will hate it. If you don't go at all they will grow up and when you want to take them they will ignore it. Keep the boat and sell the _______. You'll make some wonderful memories in the boat. Buy a camcorder.
