I'm a wore out puppy driving nearly 500 miles total in the last two days traveling to the tournament and back. Thunderstorm, wind and more rain than you can shake a stick at during the tourney. The tourney was a benefit tourney for the Children's Miracle Network, sponsored by Wal-Mart, raising several thousands of dollars for this great charity. Crappie Masters brought out all the stops and invited some of toughest gunslingers on the tournament trail to include National champions, state and ultimate pole champions coupled with locals for a combined reported 66 teams to compete. But at the end of the day, Jason Westerberg and dad Jim took home top honors winning first. What a tough field to win in with the high level of Pro's all competing on one lake. Good job Jason! As for Team Midsouth, we fell short of Jason and finished 10th out of 66 teams. Rough conditions and extremely tough competition makes me proud that 2 top 10 teams came from right here in central Arkansas!
A big thanks to LrJoe, who played like a pro with us on this tournament and kept us in line while on Beaver Lake. A stand up guy who can catch fish with the best of them. And can sure put the 14 foot ozark rods to a challenge landing 20lb stripers, lol! Thanks again for everything Joe!

Congrats, Jason and Jim. First in a 66 boat field of that caliber is stout! And Dennis, 10th place in a field like that on unfamiliar water is dang stout too! Congrats to both teams for fishing for such a worthy cause. Now get back to work and get some rest!!!Oh yeah, post some pics when you get rested up.
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
Congrats to all! Most of all to the Arkansas teams...
I had a great time fishing with Dennis, and a great time getting to spend time with Jason and Jim. We were in a good area that had fish, but Saturday threw all it could at us. HEAVY rain in the morning, wind, falling barometer, and the water temp that had risen 12 degrees in less than a week. Those crappie did not know what was going on.
Anyway, it was fun to be a pro for a day and get to fish with Dennis. We had a great time! I was happy (don't know about Dennis) with that top 10 finish. There were some folks out there that knew what they were doing.
