I hate that you had to cancel! I'm afraid it isn't going to get right until it gets time to start chasing thunder chickens. What's a man to do?!?!?!?

who else is sick of this weather!?! Next week's forecast looks like POO and i'm not burning 40 hours for that kind of weather. I don't mind fishing cooler weather but with the rain and temps it just aint worth it. Looks like i'll be taking the week of the 8th. Now if the white river will cooperate i'll be set. 15 day forecast shows highs in the 70s and even 80s! (not that they can predict weather more than a day in advance)... Bring it!

It was awful out today , Xring and I ran into rain. I heard a couple yells from a thunder chicken too.Worst fishing in a good while. This cold water will push the spawn back IMO. That is if conditions don't change soon.

I guess I was that spoiled when I lived down there too. Looks like mid 50's with a day or two of rain in Central AR. What's wrong with that? Now that I live up here outside of KC where we still have melting snow, you have to fish when you have time, waiting on it to warm up, not threaten rain, not be windy (never) sure cuts down on one's fishing.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
Fished at Blue Mt this morning. Warmest water we found was 51.9. Rained off and on all morning. Found a few fish in the mouths of a few coves in about 7-9' Slow bite and cold rain
Im on vacation next week. If I canceled I would have to wait several weeks to take it. So if its cold or raining or whatever crappie season starts Monday!
