I have fished Dardanelle since 1964 and I caught my biggest crappie there a couple weeks ago. She weighed 2.80 and was a tad over 16 inches. I have caught a lot of 16 " fish but not this heavy. The water temp finally reached 55 degrees and the bigguns were starting to hang around brush but now the temp is back down to 47 and the bite slowed. I turned her back in so maybe someone will catch her again at crappie camp.
