Horseshoe smoked!

Those river oxbows can be a challenge when the conditions aren't right. But man, hard to beat when they are. Wont be long and they'll be jumping in the boat!!

We call those gordheads. Females are good eating, males got red meat and get tossed on the bank.

That particular Horseshoe is not a oxbow....but its still a challenge:banghead. That put some pumps in a few years back for low water conditions, but don't hardly use them.
