Got a Hamby on my Procraft. It was installed by Bass Annie. I know it is at least ten years old. Looks as good now as the day I got it. A good investment if you plan to keep your boat a while in my opinion.

Thanks guys.. I been reading and watchn installation videos. Gotta get one for my predator!
Seems like megaware bought out hambys.. Both seem like a good option
I haven't had an issue yet where I feel I need one but I sure could use something to protect my skeg...or should I say what's left of it!
The keel guard guys had a booth at the bassmaster classic and i spent some time talking with them. They told me if you're installing their product on an aluminum boat that is painted you have to remove the paint. They said they have seen, over time, the paint come off under the keel guard, causing it to come unstuck. They also said for best results to be sure and use alcohol to clean the surface of any traces of oil, and to be sure and not touch the adhesive on the guard because the oil on your skin also prevents it from sticking. Also, the hamby's is made only for boats with a sharp v bow because it comes pre-formed in that shape.
I just ordered one to put on. Had one on another boat and really liked it. Hope the install is easy.
