Default Who's a fan of crab patties on here...

I kinda like them myself so I tried using crappie in them instead of crab. For those who have never tried them crappie patties are pretty tasty. I'm not saying they beat fried fish yall so don't think that. I season them with old bay, have used cracker crumbs and i've used stove top, both were pretty good. I usually use onion, garlic, salt, pepper, or just whatever you want. You can take a basic crab cake receipt and it works just fine. Just a change of pace for those who always fry their fish is all. Next time I make them I'll post pictures been wanting some here lately anyways.

Been making them using crappie for a couple of years. I like to use panko bread crumbs. Makes them crunchier.

They are good, i have made several batches.

I got tired of eating fried crappie last year, was eating it 3 times a week when I was catching them every day. So I went to the recipe section on the main forum, there are ALOT of good recipes for crappie on there. i now have about 4-5 ways to eat them.
