I love winter crappie fishing!!!
This is going to be my first YEAR of crappie fishing all YEAR. I have only just begun and spring was the only time I thought I would catch crappie but with the help of you guys on here and by gaining experience I hope to be successful all year around!

X2 I cant help but laugh when people say they quit biting after the spawn! Even funnier when you convince them that the fish still eat in the winter too, get them on the water and they throw out a minner with a bobber set at about 2' in 35 fow!Quote:

I have always thought of spring as crappie time, not anymore. I have caught more in the last 3 months than I have ever caught during the spawn.
Weather its freezing or 100 degrees plus you can catch em.
What I love is all the people you invited in the 'off season' that wouldn't go because it's cold or whatever are the first to call during 'crappie season' at least in their minds.
