Thread: Quick Limit Before the Snow

I went to Beaver Tuesday morning ahead of the strong frontal system and the bite was on. Usually I like to tight line, however, on this day I used a slip cork and jig and found fish in 2-5 foot of water. Best color by far was orange and chartse. This cold front will probably move them back deep again. I really like to feel the thump, however, it was a lot of fun popping that jig and watching the cork go under. No real big fish just solid eaters.

Ahhhhaaa, I believe I have detected an oxymoron. ...Beaver/limit...Congratulations. I've fished there and been beat by the crappies like a yard dog.

Congrats on a fine mess of eaters! Looks like a day well spent.

RL, that is good. I have not been in 2 weeks to Beaver. How does the water look? I drove by this last Sunday and it still looked a little brown.

Thanks guys, RCC:I have also had humbling days on beaver, however after four months experience I'm learning it a little better. ski trip: after your gracious invite my wife and I will probably come to spring camp, look forward to meeting some of the other folks. Billy: good luck at Taylor bay tomorrow. Kent: The white river is still pretty dingy but parts of the War Eagle arm are clearing. I may go tomorrow give me a call if you get a chance.
