I went to Dardanelle and the strip pitts today.
The negative was I did not find the fish. (So what else is new)
The positive was after getting lost, I called Ski Trip and he got me back on the straight and narrow.
Later heard fom CP and he talked me into the right place to be.
I said that to say this the guys on this site are the best.
They will help you or tell you someone who will help you.
Thanks Ski Trip and CP for all your help.

Glad you finally got to where you were trying to go, but sorry you didn't find the fish. I think it's a "shad" thing! Had a buddy and one of his friends, both very good fishermen, go to Piney chute yesterday and they reported to me that they saw very few shad, and consequently they didn't do well either. Dan, I hope you caught some fish so the trip wasn't a waterhaul. I may not be able to point you to the fish (that's CP's area of responsibility, LOL) but I can usually point you to the launch ramp!![]()
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
Amen everyone on here is top knotch!!

Don't take it personally that you didnt find them in the strip pits, you was a week too late. A week ago Thursday I pulled in there and almost every crappie in the pits was piled up at the last deep hole at entrance/exit. It happens every year. The water temp was 50 and the crappie were staging there ready to migrate to the channels (IMHO). It can happen in a matter of a couple days. I went there again last Monday/Tuesday? and found a few small stragglers and hardly any baitfish. I'm preparing to make some drastic changes in my strategy in the next two, three weeks. I'm starting to think "wood."
It ain't nuttin but luck.
Your welcome Don...I agree with RT ARK probly getting a Little late now for the pits now.
