    Default Minner Critters

How do you fish these, with out any weights? How do you hook the minnow thru the lips? I picked up a few of these at Monticello today , need to fish them the right way.

You can use a 3/8 or 1/2 inch weight out in front. Leader length and type to match what type of water clear or stained. Start with hook through the bottom of the lip and back through the top. If you are losing lots of minners, hook through the mouth and out the corner of the eye. There will be a soft spot.

I just went through 5 days on a batch of minnows I had. Changed out water when I fished which was probably 3 of those days and they lived without any type of aeorator.. Minnows are pretty hardy so don't think if you bought them today they will die tonight....

If you are going to troll spider rig you MUST have a Minner Critter. I tie mine with a loop knot to the line with a 1-2" loop. I put my weight on the bottom. I will use 3/8 to 1 oz weight depending how windy it is. I have rigged the like Jerry it is like a capps and coleman rig and it works also. I like to have the 2 jigs before the weight. Sometimes the capps rig the jig gets lite bite and you dont see it below the weight. Try what ever setup you like just TIE ON A CRITTER.
