Gindog, I have heard that about Maumelle. When I go out there I put in in the channel on the west side and stay in the west point of the lake so I can get off in a hurry need be. I have been out on what I thought was a calm day and it still made me a little nervous!

Welcome from Conway. There's some Lake Conway experts on this forum. I'd start by looking up all threads started by Crappie Pro to learn how to fish Lake Conway. There are some others, but CP gives more "how to" advice in his reports.

It can be tough!!!!!!!!!! Stay off Maumelle for my two cents worth. I'm from Illinois.........4th yr here.

Ski Trip, and everyone else: thank you for the welcome. I was actually going to PM Crappie Pro tonight, I ran into Ozzy when I pulled into the fitness center on the Air Force base this morning. He saw my Crappie.com sticker and introduced himself. He told me I needed to get in touch with Crappie Pro if I wanted to figure out how to find my way around Conway, so Crappie Pro I will be in touch soon!
