    Default Dardanelle 2/9/13

Finally got to hit the water with Gindog today. We started out at Piney and only had 8 keepers in the boat from 9:30-1:30. The wind got to be too much for my little flat bottom, so we moved to the Strip Pits and started catching fish right away. 37 feet seemed to be the magic depth today with smaller fish on the bottom and bigger ones suspended in deeper water. Minnows were the ticket, didnt get a single bite on jigs. Overall, it was a pretty slow day, I think we ended up with 25, not sure cuz Bob snuck off with all the fish!! I'm not sure you took my comment as intended. Wasn't suggesting you were too close to CP. I was just poking fun at my friend!

They worked well, had to make some adjustments to the brackets because the angle was a little off. The rough edges were hard on the rod handles, so I dipped em in plastic today, they should be good to go now.

We had to do the same thing back when we started using that style rod holder. Almost five years later & they're still holding up well. Haven't had to re-dip them either.
