Default 1st fishing trip of the year

Thru with the deer and ducks. Ready to get back to some serious fishing. Trying a lake off the White River in the morning. Started doing some of my own jig tying. I mostly single pole jig, haven't felt the thump in a while.

I live in Marion, but have 900 or so acres I lease outside of Bethesda. I would be curious of some crappie fishing in the area as well. Never fished that area, but would be nice to venture off during turkey season

I mostly travel off to fish. I haven't found any real good crappie fishin close. I drive down around Augusta and then back home to southeast AR for most of my fishing. Hawgdog, you live in a good area. I use to fish Dacus, Island 40, Horseshoe, and a list of other good places when I lived in Wynne.

I have seen that . Our lease is right on the other side of the river from the boat ramp....We usually drive down to the dam and look around, just never fished the river.[/I]

Oh yeah.....I actually live out towards Clarkdale. Just a few miles from Dacus. We have a small cabin on our hunting lease at bethesda and love to go stay days there....and would love to be able to fish while we were there sometimes.
