I am blessed to be able to live and fish with some great fishermen, jig tyers, luremakers. We are blessed to have some outstanding fishing in our area,White river, black river, spring river, eleven point, strawberry ,norfork, greers ferry the great Bull shoals lakes and several smaller GF lakes in our area to fish,They(retired friends and father) keep a log of how many days and how many fish they catch in our area we cook and eat fish every Tuesday(rain, snow or sun shine) maybe crappie, Bream, catfish, walleye, kentucky bass, buffalo,(flathead the best) in my OP .We will usually have 8 or 10 flok's ea tuesday and usually a guest or two. Truly blessed!!!!! and on special days, Deer,duck,squirrel...
Usually twice a week. Either blackened or fried. Twice a year I go to the veterans home and throw a fish fry. I'm a geezer so I only fish good weather.

if i catch any they are cooked as soon as i can but i dont catch fish every time i go out , just not that good of a fisherman i guess
The first summer I figured out how to catch them, about 4 times a week (fried) from april till september. That has tapered off some over the years. It has been a week since I have had my last and I'm ready for some right now.
What we catch on the weekend is cleaned and placed in stainless steel container with ice water in the bottom of the refrigerator......that's what we use during the week. Any extra gets frozen and given to relatives, friends, ect. That way we never have to eat frozen Crappie. We usually eat fish 1-3 times per week and like it fried, grilled and blackened. Haven't tried the scampi but sounds good and want to try that soon.
Minimum of 1X per week. If my wife wouldn't think I was absolutely crazy I think I could stand to eat them literally every other day!
I like to eat them once a week and I also save up a bunch to cook and feed the folks at Church once a year.
